Before you upload
The quality of the photo you upload decides the quality of the portrait we hand draw, so it is worth taking a minute to get it right. Have a read through before you order.
Shoot in daylight, or in bright indoor light.
Natural light near a window works best.
Use a phone camera or a proper camera.
Screenshots and photos of photos lose too much detail.
Keep the whole face and neck visible.
With no shadow falling across them.
Skip heavy filters.
We match your pet's real colouring, so filters send us the wrong tones.
Get down to your pet's eye level and shoot straight on.
Other angles can work, but straight on is safest.
Collars, leashes, bows, hats and outfits are not illustrated.
So do not worry about what they are wearing.

Send it to us at corsoportraits@gmail.com before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it will work. We know these guidelines are not always possible, especially for a portrait of a pet who has passed, so send it over and we will do our best with what you have.
